Cadence Electronics Corporation (NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced the availability of the Cadence Millennium Enterprise Multiphysics Platform for the design and analysis of multiphysics systems, the first in the industry to offer a hardware/software (HW/SW)-accelerated digital twin solution. The next-generation Cadence Millennium M1 platform is designed to improve performance and energy efficiency and accelerate high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. Running in the cloud or on-premises, this turnkey solution features graphics processing units (GPUs) from an unsurpassed provider with extremely fast connectivity and an enhanced Cadence high-fidelity CFD software stack, optimized for GPU-accelerated and generative AI. Millennium M1 instances can be integrated into a unified cluster, enabling customers to achieve ideal turnaround speeds, same-day design turnarounds, and provide near-linear scalability for simulating complex systems.
In the automotive, aerospace, energy and turbomachinery industries, it has become a top priority to ensure that the system is designed to reach new levels of performance and energy efficiency. To optimize performance and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, automotive designers are focusing on improving fuel efficiency, reducing drag and noise, and extending the range of electric vehicles. Improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and reducing the frequency of maintenance are top concerns for aerospace and turbomachinery design engineers. To achieve these goals, advances in multiphysics simulation technology are critical. Digital twin simulation helps explore more innovative design options, and performance, accuracy, capacity, and accelerated computing technologies are critical to enabling digital twin simulation. Effective simulation gives us complete confidence that these designs will work as expected before we develop and test prototypes.
The Millennium Platform meets these needs. Key features and benefits of the platform include:
